1933 Chicago Worlds Fair, Century of Progress.
Highly recommend visiting chicagology ‘dot’ com, which details the construction of the 1933 Worlds Fair ground and its demolition. Plus the many recognizable exhibits. A Century of Progress International Exposition, also known as the Chicago World's Fair, was a World's Fair held in the city of Chicago, Illinois, United States, from 1933 to 1934. The fair, registered under the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), celebrated the city's centennial. The theme of the fair was technological innovation, and its motto was "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Adapts", giving out the message that science and American life were wedded.

So, this item is stored in its shipping box, on a shelf, with a bungee cord holding it to the shelf. The stein or mug has several sheets of tissue paper, then moving paper wrapped around it. Then, a foam pocket, intended for dishes around that. There are large bubble pockets in the next stage of surrounding the mug/stein. One side of the box was glued using just Elmer's White Glue (works quite well) and then taped to secure it for drying.

12/12/2022 high points - it’s a particularly interesting time period in History, particularly unique city. Condition is desirable. 88 years old. I lowered the price on this one by , mostly because I think it’s priced about correctly but someone would have to pay shipping and taxes—a piece like this one I’m very reluctantly lowering the price. It’s a very desirable piece.
Price Points: Other variations of this same mug are available for as little as .00 + shipping. Those pieces have very different colorations. So, I am asking for an premium for coloration. I am aware of this. See, to a degree it depends on what it is displayed with, and this cream coloration is fluid and adaptable.
