    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1962 Texaco road map of Baltimore and the Chesapeake Bay area, printed more than 56 years ago.
    This map opens to 32" x 23" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally.
    The Baltimore map is on one side, the Chesapeake Bay area on the other.
    The coverage area on the Chesapeake Bay area map extends from Wilmington, Delaware to Virginia Beach. There are inset plans of Richmond, Washington, D.C., and Norfolk-Portsmouth and vicinity.
    Among the other named places are Fairfax, Vienna, Silver Spring, Rockville, Wheaton, College Park, Catonsville, Chevy Chase, Falls Church, Bethesda, Takoma Park, Arlington, and Alexandria.
    The map was published by Texaco in 1962 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 2-5628-6.
