Handsome fold-out 1969 Texaco road map of Nevada, printed more than 50 years ago.
This map opens to 27" x 18" and has good detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by H.M Gousha.
There's an inset plan of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas in the lower corner.
There's a more detailed street plan of Las Vegas on the opposite side, along with maps of Lake Tahoe and the Reno-Sparks area.
This map was published by Texaco in 1969 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 9-QQ, and little "T" symbols locate Texas service stations on major highways.
The artwork on the back includes a Texaco credit card, Sky Chief and Fire Chief gas pumps.
Texaco issued two editions of its Navada map in 1969. This is the first edition, with the code 691 on the back cover.
Condition:
This map is in very good condition, bright and clean, with
no
rips, tears, or writing. A previous owner has stamped the year near the upper fold on the cover. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
