Description
This is a choice, crisp uncirculated 10,000 Yen note from the
"Bank of Japan"
. This is the largest denomination banknote issued by Japan. Now obsolete, this type was issued between in 1984 and 1993. This is the variety with two letters before the serial number.
It pictures Yukichi Fukuzawa. He lived from 1835 until 1901 and was an author, teacher, translator, entrepreneur, journalist, researcher and leader who founded Keio University.
