Description
This is a crisp uncirculated, 5,000 Yen note from the
"Bank of Japan"
. Undated, these were issued beginning in 1984. This is the second largest denomination Japan prints and these have been replaced by a newer design.
It pictures Inazo Nitobe, an author, educator, agricultural economist, diplomat, politician, and Christian. He lived from 1862 until 1933.
