Title:Antique World's Fair Thermometer
Description:
Presented for your consideration is this neat little souvenir thermometer from the 1934 World's Fair in Chicago. The thermometer is made of cast iron that was painted a dark gold color. It is shaped like a art deco inspired building. Front of the thermometer has a gold tone temperature measure plate with "World's Fair 1934" marked at the top. The thermometer measures from 0 to 120 degrees. In the center is a glass tube with the red measuring liquid inside. Back of the thermometer had a pinback button glued to it at a later date. The pin is from the 1939 World's Fair in New York. Around the outside of the pin reads "New York World's Fair Employee's Friend." The thermometer and pin attached at the back are both guaranteed to be old. Would make a great addition to any World's Fair, thermometer or Art Deco collection!
As previously stated the button on the back was added at a later date. Light wear from age and use. No dents, dings or breaks. Free of repairs. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Measures 2 3/8" wide, 2" deep and 3 1/2" tall.
Please take a look at our photos and feel free to message us with any questions.
