Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the bookCollecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
This knife was made by Queen Cutlery Company circa late 1940’s to early 1950’s.
The tang stamp is a Q with Crown.
The main clip blade has a faint etch – FINEST Q STAINLESS, and the tang stamp on the skinner blade is STAINLESS.
These markings indicate an early post-WWII knife, before Queen changed from “stainless” to “Queen Steel”.
Pattern #39 folding hunter at 5-1/4” closed.
Brass liners.
Both blades have strong snap, no wobble.
Used, carried, and sharpened.
Blades each have patina, minor sharpening loss, light scratches, sharpening marks.
Super nice Winterbottom bone handles have pocket wear.
Each handle has a tight crack under the center pin.
The knife shown in the photos is the exact knife that you will receive.
All knives will be shipped promptly to you in a sturdy corrugated box.
Sales to USA Locations Only - Buyer must be at least 18 years of age.
Some states have started requiring eBay to collect sales tax on items going to these states. eBay has a list of those states that have started collecting sales tax in 2019 on online purchases. This is nothing I have control over and the sales tax is automatically added to your total by eBay if you reside in one of these states.
See my other listings for more collectible knives.
Any knives listed as having BONE handles have handles made of Bovine bone from the South American Zebu cattle.
