    Description

This is a great knife for anyone that is interested in sailing or other nautical activities.  Knife is approximately 40-45 years old, but is in good condition for it’s age.  Has nickel steel bolsters with brass liners.
Knife is the typical Sheepsfoot blade which is common on bosun’s knives like this.  The knife blade is a slip joint type (non-locking).
The marlinespike (“marlinspike”) does lock.  The lanyard bail is the release to close the spike.
The springs are strong and both implements snap open and closed, as they should.
If you want an excellent quality rigging knife that is made in the United States, this knife is pretty much your only and best option.  It is a LOT higher quality than the imported Myerchin or Camillus knives that are also made overseas now.
This would make a great gift for a new recruit in the Navy or merchant seaman.
I will also make you a lanyard for it in your choice of color using military specification 550 cord if you’d like.  Would look really sharp with USN colors of navy blue and gold.  I am a soldier in the US Army, but have great respect for my brothers and sisters in the US Navy.  :-)
All my items come from a completely smoke-free and pet-free home.
Shipping with insurance is included in the buy-it-now price.
