working length of this cord is 7 feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about 18 to 20 inches long,
NOT 12 FEET
. Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 12 foot cord because 12 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it's the standard.
This is a high quality generic cord,
made in China

gold plated contacts.

It should end with 09. If it ends with 13 you want a beige cord. If it ends with 44 you want an ash. UNFORTUNATELY the word "tan, or beige" seems to get applied to all these colors. This cord may be darker than the Cortelco -09 color, especially if the phone has faded or set in the sun.
This cord works on
nearly any phone
made in the last 30+ years. It uses the standard 4P4C (4 pin 4 conductor) connector which is also called RJ9, RJ10 & RJ22. Do not use it between the phone and the wall jack. The wall jack is 6 or 8 pins wide. It would provide a loose, noisy connection.
