Description
Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the bookCollecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
This is a vintage Case “Shark Tooth” lockback folding knife.
Case no longer produces this pattern.
The tang stamp is Case XX STAINLESS USA 2 dot 1978.
The knife is 5” closed.
The blade steel is stainless.
The blade has smooth action, great lockup.
The blade has slight side to side wobble.
The smooth black Pakkawood handles have no cracks or damage.
The brass frame is tarnished.
A used knife – the blade has been lightly sharpened, has light scratches and minor stains.
In addition to the blade wobble as noted above, the brass frame has a tiny but visible gap between the two sides of the frame at the butt end (see photos). The frame may need to be tightened a bit to correct both.
This is the old-style Shark Tooth with the cut out on the lower tang, making it easier to choke up on the blade.
Great knife to carry and use!

Sales to USA Locations Only - Buyer must be at least 18 years of age.
Some states have started requiring eBay to collect sales tax on items going to these states. eBay has a list of those states that have started collecting sales tax in 2019 on online purchases. This is nothing I have control over and the sales tax is automatically added to your total by eBay if you reside in one of these states.
