Up for bids is a 4"x 1 1/2" (when unfolded) empty VINTAGE front striker matchbook from a 1940-50s Era Texaco Oil gas service station & Marfak Lubrication station in Mt. Vernon, Illinois-The colorful cover reads: "Your Welcome at Corner Texaco Service 11th & Main PHONE 86 Mt. Vernon, Ill. John Tolbert Owner Your Texaco Dealer" on front with an image of a cartoon car bed inset that reads: "Your car keeps that cushion feeling longer with Marfak Lubrication. Let us show you why" on back-Cover reads: "Ask Texaco Dealers for Texaco Touring Service Trip Advice" inside and the striker is intact-A nice vintage item in lightly used condition with some wear consistent with normal age, use and display, still very cool.
