This listing is for a rare Multi Elmac AF-68 Trans-Citer (Transmitter)
All original with no mods. It has some wear and tear, but it looks rather nice, non-smoking owned and easily restorable to an admirable condition.  A simple spray paint job on the rear cabinet that removes easily is all that would be needed to make this look great again.  Currently missing the screws but the cabinet fits on nice an snug owing to not having any dents or damage.
Contains a single 6146 in the RF amplifier, modulated by a Push-Pull pair of 5881 audio tubes (5881’s not included).  This transmitter is sometimes referred to a Baby Ranger because its nearly identical in circuitry to a Johnson Ranger.  It was designed to be a mobile rig and has a tube final that matches lower impedance antennas often found in mobile applications.
I do not have a power supply to include but one can be fashioned from a Heathkit HP-23 or other commonly available supply with filament, bias and plate supplies for a good many other radios.  I have had this transmitter powered up and it does put out 40 watts of carrier.  As the 22 volt bias battery is no longer good, I was unable to test it on AM.  However, there is a good mod mentioned on W8ZR's website that uses a simple zener diode to completely do away with the battery.
