    Description

For auction is an old farmers pruning knife mfg. in Sheffield, England. Single hawk blade with the fat stag handles. Pic. # 7 shows what looks like a crack in stag, near back spring but I believe it's just a deep scratch. Closed up knife is 4 5/8''. Blade marked SAYNOR with the tang being stamped Saynor, Cooke & Ridal.  Sheffield, England stamped on backside. Mfg. dates to 1868-91. Old knife is solid and tight throughout. Very strong back spring with gator like blade snap. No blade wobble when fully open. Iron bolsters, liners and pins along with the pommel on the back end of knife. See ALL pics, as they are part of description. Any ??, ask before bidding.  SEE MY OTHER BLADE AUCTIONS FOR THE WEEK.
