    Description

    Souvenir giant "wooden Nickel", from the 1934 Century of Progress Expo in Chicago. 76mm diameter, printed on thin plywood (shown).  These were produced in at least two different colors; I recently sold an identical piece printed in green ink. About as issued, perhaps a bit of darkening from light dandling, no damage. The "dimple" in the center is apparently from being turned in a lathe to cut the stock or sand the edge.  The first I have ever seen, and very cool!!!
