Texaco Fire Chief Helmet amplifier and microphone and battery box replacement

Does your vintage texaco fire chief hat make static noise or clicking noise or no noise after you put batteries in? Then you probably need this brand new amplifier unit and battery box as shown in photos...it is brand new as the day it was bought in 1965.. it is easy to take out your old amplifier and old microphone and amplifier contacts out of your old unit and replace it with this brand new unit.......if the battery contacts in the battery box are corroided or rusted or broken or missing then this replacement unit wont help you.....you need good battery contacts in your battery box. this battery box is used but in excellent condition...all the metal contacts in the battery box are like new. i have rebuilt several of these vintage texaco fire chief hats with this brand new unit....this unit sold for .50 back in 1965. you used to be able to order this replacement order by sending in the form and .50...more information.....another reason why your texaco fire helmet speaker/microphone isnt working is because of bad rusty contacts in the battery box. or maybe more likely, the capicator they used back then has burnt out from use....old made capacitors burn out because they get hot when you use the microphone and speaker. You will need a philips screwdriver to take out some screws so you can get to the battery box and to take off the white plastic shield. i will send you a photo copy of the instruction sheet. also, i have hundreds of these replacement items i got in an estate sale... maybe you only need the eagle or white shield or some part or screw...email me and let me know what you need...we also do the repair work for you if you desire...you would have to ship your texaco helmet and pay for shipping both ways and pay for the replacement part and pay for the labor to repair your unit.
