    Description

    This is an unused, all-original window poster promoting the No. 2 plane in the Wings of Texaco series of diecast scale-model airplane banks. The No. 2 plane, a replica of the 1932 Northrup Gamma, was sold through Texaco gas stations in 1994. Stations used “point-of-sale” materials such as window posters, counter displays and hanging displays to promote sales of the planes, which were introduced just before the holidays each year from 1993 through 2017. This poster is made of a durable, plasticized material and measures 23 ½ inches long by 12 ½ inches wide. It is in perfect, unused condition. These point-of-sale materials typically were discarded each year as the new plane in the series was issued, and today are very rare -- especially in unused condition like this one.
