    Description

Offered for sale are two coffee mugs from the 1933/34 "Century of Progress" World's Fair in Chicago.  The mugs were designed and manufactured in Weiden Bavaria by Bauscher China Co specifically for the Stewart and Ashby Coffee Company.  They feature a crest showing what may be a crest of the Stewart family and also read "Century of Progress Chicago 1934"  The graphics on the inside of the mugs are worn and therefore the price for the pair has been discounted.  The mugs are 3-1/2" tall with a bottom diameter of 2-1/2" and a top diameter of 3-1/2".  They each hold 6 oz of liquid.
Aside from the wear to the advertising on the inside and considering their age, the mugs are in very good condition without any chips or cracks.  Both have some blue smudging on the inside bottom which may have something to do with the loss of graphics.
If you are a collector of Chicago of World's Fair memorabilia, these are a must have.  Thank you for your consideration.
