    Description

    A rust / orange handset cord. Genuine Western Electric / Bell system rust cord. Often called orange. Works on trimline, 500 (rotary desk) 554 (rotary wall) 2500 (touch tone desk) 2554 (touch tone wall) and many others. Each is new in a plastic bag. The bag is in fair condition.

    working length of this cord is 3 or so feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about 8 inches long,

    . Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 6 foot cord because 6 feet of material goes into the curling machine.
    Western Electric went by a standard that "LONG" meant 12 feet and "STD (standard) meant 6 feet. Later, "LONG" came to mean a 25 foot cord.
    This cord is the 6 foot version.
