    Description

This is an excellent, and early 1920's-30's Western States Cutlery, Boulder, Colorado, folding hunter with light beige,  transparent celluloid handles.
The handle material is rare, with a thin white liner.  There are some areas of slight discoloration on the handle which would be known as an "ONYX" celluloid,  but no cracks in the handles.
There is no warping to the handle material, and the celluloid lies flat against the top and bottom bolsters.
This is an outstanding knife, with absolutely full blades, and great snap both opening and closing.   Some slight "darkening" of the full blade where it was exposed to the air.
The Western States logo is almost totally hidden behind the top bolster, but is deeply stamped and can be read as you slowly open the master blade.
The master blade has a "match striker" nail pull which is characteristic of early Western knives.
Overall length is 5 1/2 inches closed, and an impressive 9 3/4 inches with master blade opened.
Rare to find in this condition.
